NOA1 is the second step to getting a K1 visa, and it stands for Notice of Action 1 (NOA1). It comes after the USCIS filing. K1 Visa Process after NOA1 and NOA2 Stages

1: The National Visa Center (NVC) Stage

Here, the service center in charge of the petition you have submitted will forward it to NVC, and this is done within two (2) weeks of the petition’s approval. At this stage, you will not receive any notifications. 2: NVC sends your K-1 visa petition to the Embassy

4: Your fiancé will have to return some Embassy documents.

The embassy will instruct your fiancé to return some documents with immediate effect, while some documents are required at the interview session.

5: Medical Examination as directed by the U.S. Embassy

The U.S. Embassy will instruct your fiancé to conduct a medical examination. There is an associated fee to be paid in her country’s local currency, and the charge depends on her location.

6: Embassy Interview Stage

Your fiancé is invited for an interview by the U.S. Embassy; questions to confirm her relationship with you may be asked. You are not required to come for the interview, but some countries allow you to appear.

7: A K-1 fiancé visa is granted.

The K-1 fiancé visa badge will be approved on your fiancé’s passport, and it can be collected on the same day or anytime within the following week. For long distances, it will be delivered via the courier service, and she can now go on to buy airline tickets for United States travel.

8: Travel to the United States

From the time of issuance, your fiancé is given six months of validity to use the visa to get into the United States. When she gets to the point of entry (POE), she will have to release the U.S. Embassy documents and packages. You don’t need to go with her.

9: Marry your fiancé.

You have to marry your fiancé, and the wedding must be within 90 days of her entry into the U.S. If you fail to do the wedding within the stipulated period, your fiancé will have to exit the U.S.
