Duties and Responsibilities for science teachers:

If you are hired for this Science Teacher your role revolves around educating students in scientific concepts, theories, and practical experiments in any of the different science areas. Here is a breakdown of your duties and responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities that calls for active learning experiences
• Development ofschemes of work and professional lesson plans according to the curriculum objectives
• Assessmentand recording of the students’ progress and providing grades and feedback
• Maintaining discipline by making sure that you keep to the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
• Making sure that all the necessary records are updated accurately and completely as specified by the law and school policies
• Participating activelyin department, school meetings, and in parent meetings
• Stayingup to date with developments in the subject area, including new resources, methods, as well as national objectives.
