What is the difference between PVP and EP?

PVP stands for professional visit pass, while EP stands for employment pass. A PVP is a visa pass for those on a temporaryĀ travel basis. You are expected to obtain the PVP as a foreign workerĀ or talentĀ who has certainĀ professional skills and qualifications. The employment pass, on the other hand, is for foreign nationals who are employed to work in Malaysia. To be eligible for an employment pass, you must first be employed in Malaysia or find an employer in Malaysia who is ready to hire you. An employment pass is also required when you want to gain professional and highly skilledĀ placement in a Malaysian company or organization.

What documents are required for the Professional Visit Pass PVP applicationĀ in Malaysia?

You will need to prepare the following list of documents for the PVP application:

  • applicantā€™s passportĀ copyĀ (for all pages).
  • Your picture should be passport-sized.
  • IMM.12 application form and IMM.38 application form for a Malaysian visa.
  • Obtain a letter of offer from your sponsor; the letter should give an explanation of the reasons why the applicant was hired.

As anĀ international studentĀ applicant, you areĀ also required to submitĀ the following documents:

  • Your resume.
  • Your academic certificates.
  • evidence showing agreement between your school and the establishment sponsoring you.

As a religious missionary, you needĀ an approval letter obtained from the Department of Religion or a letter from the Islamic Religious Department.

  • As a Chinese citizen, you should show a guarantee or provide a personal security bond obtained from a financial institution.

Who is eligible for a Malaysia Employment Pass?

TheĀ Malaysia Employment Pass expects that applicants have to meet the following criteria:

  • They must have obtained the necessary academic qualifications needed to secure the job.
  • The applicant must have not less than three years of relevant work experience. As for people with smaller academic qualifications, they should be able to show that they have more years of relevant work experience.
  • Applicants must serve in a managerial, executive, or technical position in need of their specific skills.
  • They must meet the specified salary requirements.
  • Applicants should not work in a sector that is grouped as restricted.

  3. Your employer will submit the following documents as they provide an employment pass application for you:
  • The Employment Pass application form.
  • They will provide a passport-sized picture of you, and the picture must be in line with the requirements set for the photo usage requirements in the Malaysia visa application.
  • A copy of the applicant’s passport. Please bear in mind that your passport must be valid for not less than six months from the time you intend to come into the country. All in all, you should know that your Employment Pass usage period will never be longer than the validity period of your passport.
  • Applicants from PRCare are expected to add two copies of their passports to the application.
  • Provide a letter or approval for expatriate post, and it must be from an authority body that is relevant.
  • Authorization obtained from the company to which you want to submit your application.
  • An employment contract form, a form showing an offer of the specified job, or the acceptance letter.
  • CV and/or the verified copies of your diplomas and certificates.
  • Your employerā€™s company profile copy is to be sourced and obtained from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
  • Proof showing that you are under health insurance coverage.

3: Difference by Application Cost

On the other hand, the costs associated with applying for and getting an employment passĀ include an application feeĀ of RM1,000. Other charges include the visa stamp feeĀ ofĀ RM300Ā and the medical examination feeĀ of RM150.

 

4: Validity Period

 

A PVP validity May be extended for a longer period of time upon the completion of their twelve-monthĀ validity through breakingā€ the presence; this period is known as the observing andĀ cooling-off period,Ā and you can apply forĀ a pass to spring for another 12 months.

As for EP, the pass is valid forĀ 6Ā to 12 months.
