Khattar Law Scholarship Essay Prompt

The usual essay prompt is as follows:

“Submitting an application for social security disability benefits is an incredibly complex process. When you get those benefits successfully, having a lawyer who specializes in the field is nearly indispensable, but even still, results are not guaranteed. Recently, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget proposed a series of changes that may make it much more difficult for older people and uneducated individuals (approximately 500,000) to enjoy these benefits. With these changes in mind, what steps could be taken to improve accessibility to this demographic of older, low-income individuals?”

Your letter should not be less than 500 words, and this essay will be judged by a distinguished panel of judges, taking into consideration the following requirements:

  • 5 points will be for the argument’s strength.
  • 2 points will be for your use of English, grammar, and style.
  • 1 point for proper citations
  • One point will be the relevance of your essay to the topic of discussion.
  • One point is for the essay Creativity.

It is encouraged to conduct research before writing, but note that citations are very necessary.

Plagiarism will not be condoned; if there is any pointer to plagiarism, you automatically get disqualified for all present and future scholarships being funded by Khattar Law, PC. That is to say, you cannot apply for a Khattar Law scholarship again.
